Each languages uses different characters, as you know, date and time formats, decimal fraction formats, and currency units are also different in each region. We call this differences language attribute.
SetCountry is a utility for Magellan to suit your language attribute. Multiple languages are often used in a country, thus you cannot select language but County/Region in the SetCountry. Fundamentally, you can use this on Magellan English version.
Who use SetCountry?
If Magellan had every localized version of program, SetCountry was unnecessary. However, it is impossible to make interface to fit every languages on earth. If Magellan does not have the version of your language, this utility may help you. For example, we currently do not have Taiwanese version of Magellan. Change your country code of Magellan English version to Taiwan, and Magellan works better on Trad.Chinese MacOS. In the same way, you might use Magellan on your language better.
How to use
Double click SetCountry.
How to check Country code:
Click 'Check' button to select your Magellan and country name will be selected in pop up menu.
How to change Country code:
Select Country from the pop up menu, then click 'Change' button to select your Magellan.
Notice:
1. Some country codes in the pop up menu does not supported by MacOS.
(Example: MacOS of Latvia version does not exist.)
If you use languages of such countries by font application, SetCountry is not effective.
2. If you change language attribute of localized version of Magellan, Japanese version or other languages, some characters of menu or dialogs does not be indicated correctly.
